Delegation Visit form Xiamen, China

The San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and Center for Economic Development welcomed an official delegation from Xiamen, China, led by Vice Mayor Huasheng Liao, for a strategic exchange focused on deepening economic ties and promotion collaborative opportunities. 

The Xiamen delegation, including senior officials from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT Xiamen) and the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce, presented the city’s economic strengths and invited San Francisco businesses to participate in the China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT). 

Key sectors discussed included e-commerce, agri-tech, logistics and warehousing, elder care and health services, and sustainability. The delegation expressed a strong interest in exploring U.S. partnerships in warehousing, R&D, and green technologies. 

The visit also featured open dialogue on long-term institutional collaboration between CCPIT Xiamen and the SF Chamber. Both parties emphasized the value of sustained cooperation and knowledge-sharing, particularly given growing global interconnectivity and innovation-driven development. 

This visit represents a significant step toward fostering mutual growth and facilitating international trade and investment. The SF Chamber looks forward to continued engagement and developing actionable partnerships between the San Francisco and Xiamen business communities.
